Wilderness First Aid - Private Course

This expanded Wilderness First Aid (WFA) training is a great start towards preparing yourself for traveling in the Colorado backcountry. Many backcountry emergencies can be easily managed, and often prevented, with knowledge and basic backcountry medicine skills.

Seasoned backcountry enthusiasts, land managers, guides, and athletes agree – wilderness medicine is a key ingredient in increasing preparedness and self-sufficiency in the wilderness. This WFA training takes place over 2 eight hour days, and focuses on:
- Response and Assessment
- Musculoskeletal Injuries
- Environmental Emergencies
- Survival Skills
- Soft Tissue Injuries
- Medical Emergencies
- CPR training and certification (available at your request)
Course days are split between classroom lectures, presentations and mock scenarios.
